1.00mm 540 Needles Derma Roller by Petunia Skincare Review

This week I reviewed one of the most intimidating products I have ever tried. I have mentioned before my quest to avoid wrinkles and signs of aging, and so far it has gone well. In order to keep it that way, I decided I was willing to try anything that I thought might work.

Little did I know, just a few days later I would happen across the chance to review the Petunia Skincare Derma Roller. This unique tool features 540 needles that you roll across your skin. Yes, you read that right. You roll the needles across your skin, creating channels in it. When you apply your skincare products, they will be able to seep deeper into the skin instead of just reaching the surface. The Derma Roller is designed to help with-

~ Superficial acne scarring
~ Deep scars and stretch marks
~ Sagging skin
~ Wrinkles and fine lines
~ Cellulite
~ Large pores
~ Hyperpigmentation
~ Lax Skin & Elasticity

When I opened the package and removed the roller from the included storage case, the first thing I did was look at the needles. I am not the biggest fan of needles anyway, so this was important to me. The roller reminded me of several pizza cutters lined up together. It wasn't that the needles looked necessarily big, but they look verrry sharp.

Because the roller is designed to help firm the skin, reduce scars and stimulate collagen, I can understand why they need to puncture the skin, but it still looked like more than I wanted to try.

As a blogger, I had agreed to review this product, so I had to follow through with that commitment. I tried this at first on my arm to test it. It wasn't painful so I went ahead and rolled it down the side of my face. I could feel the needles, but it wasn't really painful. I discovered that I don't like it on my forehead or across my nose at all I feel like I have sunburn or something after so I avoid those areas when using this.

Overall, I didn't mind the needles. I use this when I am going to apply creams, lotions or other products to open my pores and stimulate my skin. It seem to be helping with the lines along my temple and I plan to keep using it to see the long term results. You can grab your own at a discount now too!
