Tracking My Blood Pressure with Ozeri Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor

I have been to so many doctors lately, I might as well just become one. Fortunately for me, I don't have major issues, like some, but the ones I do have take a lot of office visits. I have to watch and chart medications, symptoms and more, all the time.

One way to minimize the time spent there is keeping track of certain numbers. By knowing my height, weight, blood pressure and normal heart rate, I can save time and notice and differences easily. I have had some changes in my blood pressure in the past few weeks, so I am now keeping track of it with the Ozeri Automatic Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor. This sleek little system allows me to check my pulse and pressure from home in just seconds.

All I need to do is strap the monitor on my wrist with the velcro closure to begin. The monitor features voice guided operation so I know I am doing it correctly. The voice will tell you when your arm is too high or too low, and once you have it leveled correctly, it will tell you that is is going to begin. The cuff works similar to those big ones at the doctor, but with much more comfort and ease. When it has achieved a reading it shows your blood pressure and pulse rate on the digital LCD display, along with a voice message alerting you of any issues.

The Ozeri monitor assists you in keeping track of your rates too. The memory function stores up to 180 previous recordings, so you can record up to 90 each for two users. This is a great way to watch for changes over time or to keep a log of your results. Store it back in the included convenient case until the next time, and your previous results are right there for easy reference.

The only issue I have is that it goes through batteries like crazy. I must need to try a different kind because I have had to change them several times already. Aside from that, I have enjoyed being able to do this from the comfort of home. It has saved countless trips to the doctor and allows me to keep a constant eye on my levels.

A New Princess in the Family

Just a couple of weeks ago, my sister finally had her new baby girl.

After they all returned from the hospital, we went to visit and bring my nephew back with us for a couple of days so it would be less chaotic for them while they got the new baby settled.

I was super excited to see her and cannot wait until she can come and stay with me for a few days too!

    Welcome home baby Raelynn!!

    Pharmacists Weight Loss Formula

I hate gaining weight. Not that I have ever been a stick figure type of woman, but I have certainly been smaller than I am now. It hasn't helped being stuck in bed for months after my surgery and then not being able to walk well, or fa,r for months after. The limited mobility restricted what I was able to do, and left me with extra weight.

I have tried several options to decrease the weight I have gained, but have not had much success with many of them. I always end up spending way too much for something that doesn't work, or not being able to follow the program close enough. My experience with supplements or energy items has been full of starts and stops, spurts of energy followed by a crash later or just no results at all. I was at the point of not trying anything new when I received the chance to try Pharmacist Weight Loss Formula.

This compound contains a mix of clinically tested ingredients found to promote a healthier lifestyle. From increased energy levels and safe metabolism boosts to appetite suppression and body detox, this carbohydrate blocking mix can even help rid the body of excess fluids. Using this correctly can help maximize diet and exercise results and is safe for those with high blood pressure or diabetes. It can regulate sugar levels and reduce the amount of fat in your system.

tried this for several weeks. I did notice a slight change the first week or so. I had a health issue in the middle and was unable to be up and moving as much. I didn't have any real changes during this time, but that may be due to being mostly immobile. I tried again this week and have started to see slight changes in my activity and appetite. I did have a more alert experience. Some of my medication leaves me feeling groggy and drowsy so I appreciate anything that can allow me to be aware and awake more. I plan to finish my bottle and see what my final results are. At the very least I had some positive changes and no negative experiences from trying this formula.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

MALEFICENT / Teaser Trailer, Poster & Images

From Disney comes “Maleficent”—the untold story of Disney’s most iconicvillain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.

The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.

“Maleficent” is produced by Joe Roth and directed by Robert Stromberg, with Angelina Jolie, Don Hahn, Matt Smith, Palak Patel and Sarah Bradshaw serving as executive producers. Linda Woolverton wrote the screenplay. “Maleficent” opens in theaters on May 30, 2014.

3 New Additions to Our Home!

I am a big fan of pets. I have always tried to let my children have a variety of different pets. That said, it is a little more difficult now because my husband hates snakes and spiders, which are two of our favorites to have.

Last weekend, I came across a chance to grab some beautiful Geckos to add to our family. I was able to get the tank, light, heater, digital scan thermometer and some other accessories for it too. That just left me needing to get them crickets to eat...or so I thought.

I searched Google, asked around and called the local pet store to get a better idea of what is needed to take proper care of these fun creatures. I had no idea they were imported from Pakistan, or that they required special crickets from that area too. I didn't know I would need to cover them in Calcium supplement before feeding to the Geckos either. This is done on a sort of "shake and bake" method to assure their health.

I found myself buying blue lights for day and black ones for night, along with the crickets. I also discovered that the setting in the tank I received is not optimal for them. They will need rocks and things to climb on, areas where they can go to sleep, a water source and much more. What started as a small investment to save them from starving where they were, has quickly turned into a larger investment so we can maintain them correctly. I have several more things to get for them and plan to do so this weekend. Wish me luck!

A Horse For Alyssa Contest Entry - Carousel & Rocking Horses

A Horse For Alyssa Contest Entry - Carousel & Rocking Horses

I would love if you could take a second to vote for my niece Alyssa in this contest. I do not want to put out her personal details, but I will say that she has had to go through many things in her life. She adores horses and wants one badly. She was hoping to have a horse party this year on her birthday, but circumstances didn't allow her to. This may not be a real horse, but I bet she will still adore it if she wins. All you have to do is share using the buttons to show support. Each share from her photo page is a vote for her -so go share as many as you can!!
