Regenepure DR 4 oz Hair and Scalp Treatment

I have shown you many of the items I have tried for beauty care, but not so many that go beyond the skin. One of your parts that is just as important as your skin, is your hair, and you have to work to keep it looking and feeling healthy too.

I have naturally long, straight hair and it has always been easy to keep it looking bright and beautiful. I never really had to do much with it, but I have noticed lately that it is not as luxurious as it used to be. The hard water combined with dye, sun and other issues have left my hair lacking bounce and luster. The worst part is that I have noticed more and more strands in the shower and my brush, meaning more of it is falling out too!

I was offered a bottle of the Regenepure Hair and Scalp Treatment to try, and I thought it might help bring some life back into my locks. This mixture contains no harsh chemicals, Sulfates or Parabens, so I didn't have to worry about it doing more damage to my hair. It is designed with Ketonconazole, a powerful anti-fungal that gets rid of dandruff, and is the only active ingredient proven for hair loss shampoo, so I thought it just might add some thickness back too.

I noticed my hair had more softness and less of a dead, dry feel to it after just one time using this. I think this is from the aloe vera and jojoba oil that are included in the mixture. This treatment is just like any other, simply apply it to wet hair, massage into scalp and roots, leave on for a few minutes and rinse.

There was a change in my scalp while using this. I didn't notice any dry or itchy feelings and no shampoo flakes or leftover residue either. My hair had more moisture and didn't seem as limp or flat as it had before. I had less tangles after my shower too, and it was quick and easy to brush once dry. I cannot say how this does for actual dandruff because I do not have problems with that, but it did seem to provide a more healthy and attractive look and feel to my hair overall. I would use this if trying to restore moisture or obtain added bounce and shine.

Beetastic Kids Face Paint

My kids love to express themselves. They will spend hours drawing, coloring, painting, sculpting and more, but they get really crazy when you give them face paint like the kit from Beetastic we were sent to review. This non toxic kit is FDA compliant, so I have no concerns about using it with the kids.

There is supposed to be enough in each kit to paint a total of 50 faces. I don't know if that is correct, but we have created about 10-15 and there is still plenty left. There are 8 different colors in this kit, and it comes complete with brushes and sponges for application.

The first thing we noticed was that we needed to add water when using this. It is printed on the box, making it easy to figure out how to use the makeup. You only need a little bit of water to get the paints started and they apply easily once wet.

These are almost like watercolors, but apply a bit thicker. The more water you use, the more diluted the color becomes and the less thick it applies. Once you work out the amount of water needed, it is so simple to create fun and scary images with this kit.

My daughter is only 8 and she was able to use these without help. She created several looks for her and her friend, and it was something fun for them to do on a sleepover night.

The boys took a turn next and ended up with their own interesting creations. They all had fun using these paints. They provided a nice distraction on a summer day and were universal enough for everyone to enjoy.

The paints wash off easily with a cloth or sponge and there doesn't seem to be any residue left after. We have not experienced any irritation or skin problems from using this kit. This would be perfect for a party, event, Halloween or just because.

Slim Extreme 3D Thermo Active Shaping Serum Review

I am officially 35, and with that comes the signs of aging. I mat not be able to prevent the days from passing, but I can do everything possible to prevent my body from going with it. I slather myself with creams and lotions, apply serums and gels, and drink things that taste terrible in an effort to keep myself young.

For my trouble areas, I like to give them extra attention. A quick slather of something like Slim Extreme 3D on my stomach and rear helps to minimize the appearance of cellulite and tighten the skin. Let's be honest, by the time you get to be my age, this is an issue. You start to notice sagging and wrinkles, extra pounds and pockets of fat that you wish weren't there.

Don't let the signs of aging take over you and your lifestyle. Stop dressing to hide the cellulite on your thighs and the pouches of flesh under your arms. There is nothing wrong with wanting to stay young and beautiful, and this concentrated formula is designed to help you do that.

This is not a cream or lotion like most cellulite products I have seen. This red gel applies in seconds and leaves you with a tingling, warming sensation. It softens and smooths the skin, adding moisture and firmness to the areas. Using this once or twice a day for a week left me noticeable changes. The skin felt and looked better, less bumpy and more uniform in appearance.

Obviously this is not designed for weight loss but it does look like you trimmed a few pounds after using this for awhile. I didn't have any irritation or issues while using this, although it did seem to have a mentholated type smell to it. It didn't bother me, in fact it seemed to clear my sinuses a bit, but it was there.

I'm In Love With Lens Circle Contact Lenses!!

I have always wanted to try contacts, but was leery of trying to get them in my eyes. I would see them and think about having multiple sets, but never actually got around to getting any to try. Until now, that is.

The wonderful people at Circle Lens allowed me to select a pair of their lenses to review. I had a tough time deciding which ones I wanted. There are so many pairs to choose from. In the end, I went with these beautiful purple lenses from the Flower Series.

My lenses arrived with each one packaged in a small bottle of solution. There was a lens case, instructions and a pretty leopard print bag to carry them in too. All I had to do was open the bottles and transfer the lenses into the case, which was a bit tricky. I finally managed to get them opened though and all that was left was to try them.

I had a hard time getting the trick of putting these in at first. It took me several tries, but I finally got them in and situated on my eye correctly. A bit of maneuvering and a few blinks later left me with pretty purple eyes. I loved how they looked on me and my husband thought it was a fun change too. My kids even wanted their own, so these were really a hit.

The bright color of these lenses catches your attention right away. They fit nicely and are comfortable to wear once situated. I hardly noticed I had them in and was able to take them out on the first try too. The lenses are sturdy and didn't break or tear when handling. They easily slip into the storage container when not in use

Lens Circle offers many pretty styles and fun colors and designs that I would love to have. From swirls to patterns, these make a bold statement anywhere you go

I Love the AURA V1 Bluetooth Wireless Dual Speaker System!!

When I am in the mood, I can sit and listen to music for hours. I love to slip away into work, reading, yoga and more with some of my favorite songs playing in the background. Music helps me relax all on it's own, but let me tell you a way that it becomes even more relaxing.

Turn the lights down, the music up, and let the fun begin with the Aura V1 Bluetooth Speaker System. These awesome little speakers add a whole new level to relaxing with music. They feature water and lights inside that dance and pulse to the beat. The more bass you have, or the louder you turn the music, the more reaction you will get from these.

The Bluetooth speakers come with the water already inside. These are not filled to the top with water. The water comes up in spouts as the music plays for a fun water show. The lights combined with the water jets make an entrancing visual that I can just sit and watch, so much so that I lost track of time more than once.

The speakers have to connect to one another via an included cable. Without doing this, only one of them will work, so you wouldn't be able to have them far apart. Personally I think they look best together anyway and they work great on a desk, headboard or dresser.

I was able to connect these to a Samsung Galaxy S5 and an HTC One M8 via bluetooth in about 30 seconds. They also worked connected to my Windows 8 computer with the included cable.

These would be perfect for a kids room, dorm, office, computer desk, kitchen counter and more. I imagine they would be entertaining for baby too, with soft music or at bedtime. They make excellent gifts for any tech fan, music lover or anyone who likes to relax and enjoy the show.

Grab Dad a Camo Ring for Father's Day!

Father's Day is rapidly upon us and I am sure many of you still have to find the perfect gift for the man or men in your life. I always find things for my husband from the kids, so I still have some shopping to do myself.

One of the things I had been looking at was rings. It has been 7 years since we were married, and my husband has worn his wedding band almost every day, so he had put some scratches in it over time. Because he works out on the road, he wants and inexpensive band for every day use. He isn't one for a lot of flash or stones, so he prefers a more simple band. When he saw the fun camo ring I was sent for review, he loved it right away.

The Woodlands Hideaway Camo ring is bold, but not in a bling kind of way. The detail in the camoflauge and the splash of colors make this catch your eye, but not from clear across the room. These add a nice touch of personality, and give more selection than plain bands, without going too far out of your comfort zone.

There are three available color themes for these starter rings at this time. The special price of $29.97 is affordable too, making this a great choice for Father's Day, a wedding band, birthday gift or anytime!

The fun part about Antler Rings is that they make custom rings from your own hunt. You simply send in a piece of antler from your catch, and they will create custom rings with your personalized engraving. These would be great gifts for couples, parent and child rings, a memory gift, memento from a special trip and much more. How unique is that!

Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea

I am always open to new things, and love new experiences, but some thing I am hesitant to try. One of those things for me was Matcha. I have heard so many people talk about it, try it and even sell it, but had never taken the time to taste it myself. I happened to see a review opportunity recently for some of the Ceremonial Matcha and thought it was as good of a time as any to try it.

I have sampled several kinds of tea before, green and others, but never in a powder and never made quite this way. I read the directions, and looked up some reviews too before trying my powder for the first time. It seemed easy to make, so I went for it.

The process of making this is a little time consuming. It takes several minutes of good whisking to get most of the clumps out of the powder. Once you have them out, you end up with a bright green, creamy mixture that has a froth on top.

This Ceremonial grade tea is both Organic and Kosher. It is designed for drinking but can be used for baking or other purposes. This is a small container but you get many uses from it if just drinking as tea.

Personally, this is just not my thing. The flavor of this was too different for me. It wasn't bitter or foul, it just didn't suit my preferences. I like a nice brewed, dark sweet tea. I found this to be a fun change, and something interesting to try, but I do not think it is something I would buy all the time. My kids tried it and they didn't like the taste at all. I offered to sweeten it for them but they wouldn't even try it a second time.

Glow In The Dark Fun For All Ages

With the warm weather, I am on the lookout for things to do with the kids both inside and outdoors. One of their favorite things to do is play with glow toys during the warm summer nights. They will gather a bunch of their friends and everyone will run around with glow bubbles, wands, sticks and more. With all that going on, a container of 100 glow sticks for review was right up my alley.

Out of the 100 glow sticks in my container, none of them were cracked or lit when they arrived. I had two that were duds and didn't light up once they had been cracked and shaken, but that was not bad considering the number that arrived in perfect condition.

I like that there are 5 different colors in this bunch. The mix of pink, yellow, green, orange and blue gives a selection of colors and combinations to suit just about anyone. The colors are nice and bright once lit and they stay working for hours after activated, so the kids can play all night if they want to.

The glow sticks come with connectors, enough to have one for each stick. This allows even more creativity and fun. They can be joined to make necklaces, belts, chains, jump ropes and much more. The kids use them for night tag, dance videos, color races and tons of other things too. A bundle of glow sticks and a bunch of kids can come out with come awesome ideas...not to mention what adults think of to do with these!

Kinesiology Sports Tape-CrossFit, Running, Etc Review

I have major issues with my muscles and joints, so any type of physical exercise, workout or extreme movement leaves me sore and stiff. One of the ways I have found to combat that is by using support tape.

I used this Freak Tape to assist with my neck, knee and back/shoulder areas. I like that this Kinesiology Tape is nice and stretchy, and that it has the measurement paper on the back. This makes it easy to get my strips just the right size each time. The paper came off easily and didn't cause any bunching or sticking when removing it.

The tape itself is very easy to apply. Once you select your desired length, simply remove the paper backing and stick where needed. The tape provides stability without being uncomfortable. It stays put nicely, but does not last as long as I would like. I noticed peeling and fraying around the edges after a few hours of use. For a really demanding day, you may have to apply this twice for maximum results.

The tape is easy to remove, with minimal discomfort. It rolls up easily for quick disposal too. All in all I was pleased with the results and would suggest this to anyone who needed a bit of assistance

Dealing With Loss..and Not Doing Such a Great Job

I spent my day attending the memorial service for my cousin. Technically she was my second cousin, and we grew up calling her aunt Vicky. Regardless of the details, today was the last time I will see her. Not only was it difficult to say goodbye to yet another family member, but it was torture to see so much pain packed into one place.

For me, all funerals are bad. The process of accepting what is lost does not come easy for most. I tend to hate change, so it comes very hard for me. I loathe the ache for what once was. I detest the longing for things remembered. Concentrated memories lie around every corner, and I hate them for reminding me of days gone by.

As I sat in the room today and looked around me, the one thing that kept coming to mind was how easy it is to let time pass. We get busy. We have families, jobs and lives to deal with. We mean to pick up the phone, send a message or plan a gathering, but we don't always get around to it. Then one day you get a call saying someone has passed..and you get to see everyone again. Bittersweet.

I realized how utterly foolish we have all been. To believe that life will go on, and we will all remain intact to see it, is nothing more than a dream. The truth is that time stands still for none of us. The days turn to weeks, and years go by and the next thing you know you are standing in a room, wondering where it all went, and wishing you had stopped to make that call or plan that visit.

I noticed faces that were missing today, parts of the whole that stood alone. I saw gaps mended and mistakes forgiven, but only in the shadow of loss. There were strangers in our family, not by intrusion, but instead by omission. We take so little time to connect that we don't even recognize those before us, those related to us.

I feel a sorrow that goes beyond the limit of my understanding. Where bonds should be formed and strengths united, there is only the remains of what used to be. I seek a change in the dynamic of what we are, a way to mend what has been broken and build what is still to come. I look toward a future that brings change, that unites and heals. I crave a family that stands powerful, just because we choose to be.
