My kids love anything that has to do with color and lights. They are always asking for things that glow and my daughter even has rope lights all around her room. Now that it is summer again, we are looking to take their love of light outdoors for even more bright colored fun.
The super bright rim lights we were sent for review are perfect for warm night play. They can be added to bikes, cars or even the baby stroller. Not only are they fun for kids, but they help with safety too. The neon colors are easy to see and once they start spinning, they create a fun light effect that can alert others to their presence too.
The light set comes complete with 6 lights, two each of blue, green and color changing, which are my favorite. This was enough for us to do all three of my kids bikes in a different color. It would be perfect for switching the colors on your bike if you do night riding too.
The lights were not really hard to put in, although you do have to be careful because they seem as if they could break easily. All of the ones in our set were unbroken, in great shape and worked fine though.
The covers screw off of the bulbs, although I didn't see how to replace the bulb itself, so I am not sure why. At the bottom of the light piece there is a section that screws off to insert/remove batteries. There is a small piece of paper in each one to prevent them from lighting before use. You simply remove the paper to make these work. It takes only seconds to get them ready and a minute to install them.
These are bright enough that you can see them and great fun to use too. I even wanted some of my own since the kids took all of these!
