Midori Spring Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea

I am always open to new things, and love new experiences, but some thing I am hesitant to try. One of those things for me was Matcha. I have heard so many people talk about it, try it and even sell it, but had never taken the time to taste it myself. I happened to see a review opportunity recently for some of the Ceremonial Matcha and thought it was as good of a time as any to try it.

I have sampled several kinds of tea before, green and others, but never in a powder and never made quite this way. I read the directions, and looked up some reviews too before trying my powder for the first time. It seemed easy to make, so I went for it.

The process of making this is a little time consuming. It takes several minutes of good whisking to get most of the clumps out of the powder. Once you have them out, you end up with a bright green, creamy mixture that has a froth on top.

This Ceremonial grade tea is both Organic and Kosher. It is designed for drinking but can be used for baking or other purposes. This is a small container but you get many uses from it if just drinking as tea.

Personally, this is just not my thing. The flavor of this was too different for me. It wasn't bitter or foul, it just didn't suit my preferences. I like a nice brewed, dark sweet tea. I found this to be a fun change, and something interesting to try, but I do not think it is something I would buy all the time. My kids tried it and they didn't like the taste at all. I offered to sweeten it for them but they wouldn't even try it a second time.

*I received a sample item for review purposes. All opinions are my own from our experiences.
