Beetastic Kids Face Paint

My kids love to express themselves. They will spend hours drawing, coloring, painting, sculpting and more, but they get really crazy when you give them face paint like the kit from Beetastic we were sent to review. This non toxic kit is FDA compliant, so I have no concerns about using it with the kids.

There is supposed to be enough in each kit to paint a total of 50 faces. I don't know if that is correct, but we have created about 10-15 and there is still plenty left. There are 8 different colors in this kit, and it comes complete with brushes and sponges for application.

The first thing we noticed was that we needed to add water when using this. It is printed on the box, making it easy to figure out how to use the makeup. You only need a little bit of water to get the paints started and they apply easily once wet.

These are almost like watercolors, but apply a bit thicker. The more water you use, the more diluted the color becomes and the less thick it applies. Once you work out the amount of water needed, it is so simple to create fun and scary images with this kit.

My daughter is only 8 and she was able to use these without help. She created several looks for her and her friend, and it was something fun for them to do on a sleepover night.

The boys took a turn next and ended up with their own interesting creations. They all had fun using these paints. They provided a nice distraction on a summer day and were universal enough for everyone to enjoy.

The paints wash off easily with a cloth or sponge and there doesn't seem to be any residue left after. We have not experienced any irritation or skin problems from using this kit. This would be perfect for a party, event, Halloween or just because.
