Review: Tinkerbell for Nintendo DS

My daughter is a huge Tinkerbell fan, so of course she asked for it for her Nintendo DS for Christmas.
I was not sure about getting this game for her because she is only 3, but she does great playing Mario and Lego Batman so I thought  we would give it a chance.

I figured being Tinkerbell it would be a pretty easy game, but not easy enough for a toddler. The first time we played it I helped her figure out the controlling and buttons , which is usually all she needs to know.I got her started and let her go at it on her own.Let me tell you, if you do not mind having to stop what you are doing every 3 minutes, then this game might be great for your little one.I however usually let her play while I am doing schoolwork with my boys or cooking dinner etc-you know those times when you need to focus on what you are doing.

I was able to manage the game quite easily myself although I did not find it too entertaining .My 6 and 8 year old sons helped her out along the way and were able to play it as well.I think what makes this difficult for the younger ones is remembering where everything is located.

Basically you are Tink and you have to travel around fairyland talking to other fairies and finding items, repairing broken ones and returning them to their owners. This is all done by going from place to place, screen to screen and performing tasks ,with quite a bit of talking mixed in there.I had to stop once or twice and remember which land or screen had which thing in it or what needed returned to who, but basicaly it is pretty simple.I think if you were getting this for someone a bit older, it would be a great gift, but if it is for a younger child , I would chose a different option.

Amazon has some great deals on the game right now, including free shipping so if you are looking to buy it, you might want to check there.

I was thinking about buying this for my daughter for Christmas, but bought her the Disney Princess game instead. Thanks for the review!
