Mommy's Little Princess

My little girl is such a cutie and she knows it too.At least once a day she wants me to take her picture,and of course being absolutly in love with her,I usually do.The only problem with this is that EVERY time I get out the camcorder,camera or even my phone,she thinks its model time.Reagan just turned 3 in July and she already wants to be a fashion model and ballerina..her words not mine.This means she WILL NOT  settle for just one picture..oh no.When Reagan says "Take my picture" she means ..watch me make random poses and take a picture of every one of them.

She has a closet full of costumes,dress up clothes,wigs,feather boas,purses  etc that she  thinks she needs to add to every time she finds something new.

I have found that it is much cheaper to buy her items from places like Goodwill and Volunteers of America because she has so much it really doesn't get alot of use.After Halloween sales are also wonderful for her stockpile.If anyone knows anyplace online..outside of Amazon and Ebay where they sell this type of stuff at good prices, feel free to drop a comment and let me know,as I'm sure I will be buying lots more in the future.

 

OHIO STATE VS MICHIGAN

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!      

For Michigan fans,the game did not have a great start,middle or end today.I guess we need to tape the ball in their hands.How the hell do you fumble the ball in the endzone? I am a diehard Wolverine fan who lives 30 minutes from the Buckeyes home field ,but honestly can we just hand Ohio State the game? Any way it goes Michigan failed miserably today and Ohio State got  their points due to Michigan screw ups and NOT Ohio playing ability.It was like watching a bunch of middle school players scrambling around out there.Not 1,2 or even 3 but 4 interceptions ..can you say NEW MICHIGAN QUARTERBACK.!!!!!!!!!!! Every single one of them was due to horrid throwing on Michigans part.To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. What a disgace to the uniform.Ohio State should get down and praise the Wolverines for handing them the game..if you can call it a game.I think I could put my 6,7 and 8 year old boys out there and they could do a better job .ITS CALLED FOOTBALL!! PATHETIC is the only word that comes to mind.Coach Rodriguez needs a new job..how about little league water boy.By the 4th quarter it was not even worth watching anymore.

I love thie idea ,especially as I do it all the time.Great fun to read to!!

First on the whole TWILIGHT thing.I refuse to even watch this stuff or have anything to do with it for so many reasons.

1.I WILL NOT be among the masses of mindless teenagers frantically screaming over someone they will never even know..what's the point? I mean honestly how great can he be..he's human and a man.."nuff said.

2. There are so many better "vampire" movies out there..Bram Stoker,Nosferatu,Dracula..(Bela Lugosi) ,The Lost Boys,ever heard of "Interview"..try reading an Anne Rice novel for gods' sake.

3.I don't know about you but if I'm gonna watch a pale,thin,mussy haired man running around, Im gonna add some red lipstick and white shoes and watch Robert Smith..mmm..the Cure.

Ok on to other things

SCHOOL

I homeschool my kids through ECOT-Electronic Classroom Of Tomorrow.First off I should say I do love ECOT,however not everything about it.My son Aiden is 6 years old in second grade.

Aiden completed all of 4 weeks of first grade before I said enough already, he can read at about a fourth grade level with 119 words per minute average on his State Test last month.They wanted him to sit and read I see Spot or whatever the hell they have these days..seriously? He can spell elephant,probably,alphabet,etc and they were giving him..SEE,THE,GONE etc for spelling words.Give Me A Fucking Break!!

Not only did the teacher not notice this  herself, but she wanted to argue with me when I contacted her about testing Aiden for acceleration to the next grade.So eventually my bitchy self won out and they did test him..only to call me and say..we think Aiden should move up to second grade..YOU THINK? I only told you that a hundred damn times before.

So anyway they did move him up and he is on Honor Roll. Last week I  received a call from his teacher telling me if Aiden did not turn in a reading paper she was going to turn him/me in to the truancy department for failure to participate.Mind you I am having health issues,am on multiple medications,facing yet another surgery  and have kept the teachers well aware of the situation..weekly in fact.It is MY responsibility to scan and submit his work to the teacher ..NOT HIS

In ECOT  over half of the work is done online and they have daily class with a teacher and other students..which he is doing..yep..you guessed it..DAILY.

Given that -

1.I have informed them of what is happening

2.He is well ahead of the masses ..still the best reader in 2nd grade with the closest to him being 90 words per minute

3.He is on HONOR ROLL  and in class with her every day

Yet she cannot email me or even call me nicely to  inquire about the missing paper,instead she is going to threaten me on my voicemail!! I had had enough.Needless to say not only did I tell her what I thought ,but I also called the principal and raised 90 kinds of hell about it.

Guess what..I have not heard a word from the teacher since.

Cats

I have a cat who I wanna strangle.I know that sounds bad but I mean it.I love animals of all kinds , and especially cats.This particular cat I found outside about 2 years ago and decided to keep the poor starving thing.He has grown and is beautiful but ignorant I swear.All this time he has been a wonderful pet,until recently.First we discovered he had been using our bedroom closet as a litter box.I only have 1 cat,he has a covered box that gets cleaned constantly and he has used for 2 years..now out of the blue he is being a jackass.He has also decided that he wants to eat bread,rolls,cookies,donuts etc off my kitchen counter, stove,and even on top of the refridgerator..grrrr.We have to keep our bread in the fridge to avoid this.Yesterday I saw him hovering over my daughters diaper bag..I ran over but too late,he had decided to pee inside the bag.He managed to ruin almost an entire pack of pull-ups and was working on taking a crap in it too..WHAT THE HELL? Not only did he do this but he did it not 10 feet away from his nice clean ,freshly changed box..can you say CAT MURDER..grr.He is now going to live on the farm..enough is enough!!

I was contacted right away by Shelly to pick out my items. They have such cute things that I had a hard time choosing. I did eventually decide to get a vinyl name decal for my daughter.I chose the flowers in lilac.

CHEF'N PEELER

I won a Chef'N peeler from a blog giveaway a few weeks ago and received it last week.I am in love.I must admit that I was skeptical at first,I even started to skip the giveaway and then thought..what the heck.I was surprised when I won and even more so when I actually tried it out.

This is the best peeler I have ever tried.Not only is it easy to use because it fits on your finger and in the palm of your hand, but it takes NO effort.I figured you had to apply some pressure but you really dont.I tried this out on an apple first and was amazed at how fast and easy it was to use.Not only is this the simplest peeler but it also only takes off what is necessary.No more losing half of your apple or potato etc by using a hand peeler,no more cutting your hand when the knife slips , NO MORE FUSS!!

I was able to peel 2 apples in maybe 2 minutes with little to no waste and even less hassle.My 8 year old son wanted to try, which gave me pause.The first time I told him NO WAY it still has blades on it,however I experimented with it and found that unless you run it directly over your finger,it is not going to cut you or anyone else.The blade is in the center of the pad and it pivots side to side to slide easily over the surface you are peeling.Because of the  pad surrounding it,you never come in contact with the blade.I did let him try and he was able to use it with as much ease as myself. It takes a minute to get used to the idea of  peeling with your palm ,but once you do..oh how wonderful.

I have carpel tunnel as well as fibromyalgia and peeling used to make my wrists throb and my arms cramp up.I have used this about 4 times so far and not one bit of pain.
