My Konjac Sponge All Natural Fiber Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sponge

I had never tried a Konjac Sponge before this, so I had no idea what to expect from it. I knew it was supposed to be helpful for your face and assist in keeping pores clean, but that was really all I had to go on.

The first thing I noticed was that in the package, this sponge is hard as a rock. It reminded me of sea sponge, only it looked noting like anything I had ever seen. Once you add water to this, it instantly becomes soft and pliable, so much so that, except for the color, it seemed nothing like how it started. You can see in my photos the difference between the dry sponge in the first one and the wet sponge in the other two. The sponge absorbed the water so quickly, I had to squeeze some of it out before trying this on my face because it was dripping everywhere.

The sponge almost felt soapy once it had absorbed some water and felt almost strange when rubbing it across my face. Not strange in a bad way, just something different from any of the makeup type sponges I had tried before. It was not uncomfortable, and did not seem to have any smell or anything to it, just a very different sensation than I expected. It was super soft and glided easily across my skin.

After a week or so of using this, I could tell a definite change in my face. I normally have breakouts during menstruation, so that is when I chose to use this. I noticed a reduction of acne and a better overall appearance to my face after using this and it seems to have almost stopped the normal breakouts that I usually experience.

I like that this comes on a string for hanging, so I don't have to worry about it touching on anything that could transfer to my face and it dries easily this way too. The next time I need it I just get it wet and use it again, no hassle.
