Port Clinton Best Western Review

A couple of weeks ago I did a review of the African Safari I went to on my mini-vacation.Today I thought I would bring you some more from that trip.


My husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Port Clinton because it was close to everything and affordable as well.Our room had a king sized bed with a whirlpool tub and 32 " flat screen television.There was also a safe and table with chairs for eating ,which was nice.

We arrived and went to the desk to check in.We had made online reservations through Hotels.com and were able to check in with ease.The entire process took less then 5 minutes and we were on our way to our room.

We arrived to find the room neat and clean.I am a smoker so I had a smoking room but it smelled nice,no huge smoke odor.I burn candles in hotel rooms to assist in the smell anyway, but it was a nice touch.I just had to try the whirlpool tub.

I love those things and am trying to get my darling husband to put one in my room and take out my big tub,but no luck yet.I added bubbles and had such a fun time soaking and watching t.v. while deciding on dinner.

We stayed 2 nights and didn't have any real issues.The second day we had to have our keys reset but that was no big deal and took only a few seconds to do.they lobby provides free local papers to assist in finding things to do as well as a computer with interner in the lobby for guests use.They also have a pool but it is outdoors and was closed at the time.

The only real issues I had were with breakfast.They had a waffle mix machine and waffle iron so you could have fresh made waffles.However it was a little messy and who wants to cook on vacation? There were several kinds of cereal,juice toast,bagels,muffins and fruit as well. I didn't find much to my liking so I ate light and waited until lunch for a real meal.However I am a picky person and it is complimentary so overall it was not bad.

I enjoyed my stay and would go back.Next time I am going during season and not before when half of everything is still closed!
