Vara Silicone Whisk Set

I wasn't sure how well a silicone whisk would do, but because it is a tool I use often, I thought it was worth trying these. The first thing I noticed was how different the silicone whisks feel from the metal type I normally use. They are pliable and soft, almost flimsy feeling when you first touch them. I honestly wondered if they were going to hold up to anything, so I was surprised by how much I liked them.

The silicone loops help prevent scratching to your pan or bowl and they don't destroy non-stick items like some of the metal ones tend to do. They actually work just as well as I am used to, and the food doesn't stick as badly to these when mixing wet ingredients or batters. I tried them with dry dough ingredients, cream cheese based filling, icing and cheese sauce, and I didn't have any issues with them at all. They held up well and performed as I wanted. The whisks are so simple to clean with just hot soapy water. They are bendable, so getting between the loops is easy enough, and they dry quickly too.

I love that there are three different sizes, so I can find the one that works best for my project or container. The plastic and metal handles are a little larger than my other whisks, which actually helps you get a more comfortable grip on them. They wipe off in seconds and have slots on the end for easy access hanging.

* I was provided with a sample item in exchange for my honest opinions.
