Memorial Day

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day.I know it is a sad occasion,but in a way also a happy one.When we gather to remember what has been,we are also enjoying what still is.

This year we went to my fathers grave as we have for the past 2 years now.Normally we all go on our own but somehow all ended up in town at the same time.We decided to gather at the park after and have a snack while the kids played.

Costume Supercenter Review

I love dress up.I have owned a variety of costume clothing pretty much all my life.This is a love I have passed on to all of my children.Halloween is our favorite holiday and we spend hours finding each and every costume.Imagine my delight when I received the opportunity to do a review for Costume Supercenter!

Costume Supercenter has a huge variety of Halloween Costumes for everyone,so I knew it would take some time to chose just one.I let my boys look around first because I already have my daughters costume for this year.My little monsters love the horror look,so they spent quite awhile in the Boys Halloween Costumes pouring over the horror costumes,accessories and masks.There were many that they liked,but they were not quite ready to make a final decision.Some of the favorites were

My son finally chose this Crypt Master Child's Costume

The costume was very nicely made and better then expected.The chain and grommets are actual metal not just plastic attached to a sturdy vinyl type strip.The costume itself is one piece that easily slips over the child's head.I hate having tight necklines that will not fit without pulling and tugging and thankfully I did not have to mess with any of that.

Aiden liked that the mask and hood are separate pieces and not connected which allows them to be used alone or with other accessories.We also received black gloves that fit snugly but not tight and allowed easy use of hands.I left the gloves out of the pictures because Aiden wanted to play outside with his super cool axe.The axe is plastic to avoid injury and comes in 4 pieces that screw together.I like this design,which allows you to break it down for storage,yet is simple enough that the kids can assemble it alone.

Costume Supercenter has great everyday discounted prices-no waiting for sales.

Today I am discussing something serious and important to me.May is National Foster care month and we all need to support this effort.

May is National Foster Care Month and there has never been a greater need to bring attention to children waiting for forever homes. More than 463,000 children are currently in foster care and 123,000 children are waiting to be adopted.
Children in foster care are loving children. They are children like Shaquane and Edlina and Albert. Every child deserves to have a home with caring and supportive parents.
Help us spread the message this month to reach all Americans and teach them about the love and joy that foster care adoption can bring to your life.

I know there is only so much any one person can do-that is why it takes everyone to make a difference.I myself was in foster care for 4 years.During that time I was also in a delinquent girls facility, a state group home,and on the street.Let me be the first to tell you that having a stable,safe home is so much better.It has been over 10 years and my foster sister is on my Myspace and Facebook pages to this day.We still talk and even have kids born just days apart.My point is that the love in a foster home can make the difference for even the most discouraged child.

Port Clinton Best Western Review

A couple of weeks ago I did a review of the African Safari I went to on my mini-vacation.Today I thought I would bring you some more from that trip.


My husband and I stayed at the Best Western in Port Clinton because it was close to everything and affordable as well.Our room had a king sized bed with a whirlpool tub and 32 " flat screen television.There was also a safe and table with chairs for eating ,which was nice.

We arrived and went to the desk to check in.We had made online reservations through Hotels.com and were able to check in with ease.The entire process took less then 5 minutes and we were on our way to our room.

We arrived to find the room neat and clean.I am a smoker so I had a smoking room but it smelled nice,no huge smoke odor.I burn candles in hotel rooms to assist in the smell anyway, but it was a nice touch.I just had to try the whirlpool tub.

I love those things and am trying to get my darling husband to put one in my room and take out my big tub,but no luck yet.I added bubbles and had such a fun time soaking and watching t.v. while deciding on dinner.

We stayed 2 nights and didn't have any real issues.The second day we had to have our keys reset but that was no big deal and took only a few seconds to do.they lobby provides free local papers to assist in finding things to do as well as a computer with interner in the lobby for guests use.They also have a pool but it is outdoors and was closed at the time.

The only real issues I had were with breakfast.They had a waffle mix machine and waffle iron so you could have fresh made waffles.However it was a little messy and who wants to cook on vacation? There were several kinds of cereal,juice toast,bagels,muffins and fruit as well. I didn't find much to my liking so I ate light and waited until lunch for a real meal.However I am a picky person and it is complimentary so overall it was not bad.

I enjoyed my stay and would go back.Next time I am going during season and not before when half of everything is still closed!

Stimula For Women is such a fun product.The packets come in a cute little tin in pink and silver.I opened it to find 12 silver packets of lubricant.The tin is solid an easy to open whille being cute as classy as well.The tin arrived in a plain package and I had no idea what was inside,so your privacy is respected and your business stays your business!

I love that this product has 2 different uses.
First and the most fun is the stimulating effect.Simply rib on the clitoral region and continue as normal.Stimula for women is desgined to help increase sexual sensitivity, and it does!

Second,you can use this as a personal lubricant too!Stimula is a water- based,water soluble,odorless gel that creates a generous amount of moisture with a small amount of product.Stimula wasn't sticky or messy and didn't leave spots or stains.

I loved this and my husband loved my reaction as well! I found that you can acheive both effects by having hubby help you and it increases the fun for you both too!.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Birthday To Me!

I am oficially 30 as of 11:57 p.m. on Friday May 7th.It has been about 6 hours now..trying to figure out if I feel older.I had a pretty good day today.My darling husband brought me a dozen beautiful roses and a too cute card  with Homer Simpson on it.

I also got a rose from my sister a couple days early.I love the pinks together..so pretty!

My husband also got a sitter and took me to dinner and out shopping.We picked up Scattergories to add to our game collection and got back in time to bake a cake for my step -sons party tomorrow.

I'm not feeling it yet...

Aidens Birthday

My youngest son Aiden turned 7 on April 14th.Gee I feel old saying that.

Aiden is a huge Lego fan and I happened across a recipe for a lego cake at Betty Crocker .When I showed it to Aiden ,he decided he wanted it for his birthday, so I said I would give it a shot.I realized after looking that the recipe actually made 4 smaller cakes which made it even more fun.It was my first attempt at this cake and I had about a million things to do .but I think it turned out pretty cute.

I did forget to grab a new flat pan large enough to fit these on so I had to use my trusty Tupperware.Thankfully Aiden never cares about the small stuff.

He also asked for a pinata which I had a hard time finding.Everywhere I went they were either baby ones or easter/spring .I finally found one at about the 10th place I checked..Thank you Wal-Mart!

All in all it was a great day and he loved his party.
